Earlier this year, Annie Brown asked me to assist her with Zach and Maria’s wedding.  It would be her first wedding as the lead photographer and I accepted this honor without a moment’s hesitation.  I couldn’t imagine a better way to kick off wedding season than a trip to North Carolina to shoot with my sweet friend! Annie was on Durham/Chapel Hill Young Life staff while we were in college and served as our team leader at Riverside High School in Durham.  These days, Annie is working to launch her own photography business in the Triangle.

Zach and Maria were married at Blacknall Memorial Presbyterian Church, followed by a reception at the Durham Armory on March 20, 2015 in Durham, N.C.  Maria attended Riverside while we were leaders and is a recent graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill–life had come full circle for Annie and I as we photographed their “Bull City” wedding that was heavily attended by some of our favorite Tar Heels and Durhamites.
