Joanna and Steven’s wedding day started out as a cool, crisp morning at the edges of winter and spring. As we drove through the bucolic farmlands of North Georgia, I knew it was meant to be a great day. Tucked away off GA-52 in Dahlonega sits Juliette Chapel, the loveliest little wedding chapel I’ve ever seen. Sunlight pours through its huge windows, making the tiny space feel bright, open and airy in every way. Cones of baby’s breath adorned the chapel’s wooden benches, while simple greenery set apart the ceremony space.
There’s no doubt Jo and Steven were meant to be and that this day—the fifth anniversary of their first date— was one of dreams for both of them. Although, as Steven mentioned during their handwritten vows, he was pretty willing to go through life alone…until he met Jo and decided he couldn’t imagine it without her. 🙂
I was so thrilled by every detail of this day. Wintry florals, eyelash-trimmed lace dress, sparkly shoes, wooden bow ties, delicious brunch fare, a giant donut cake tower, an incredible ceremony painter, fantastic musician and a fun bubble sendoff—Joanna thought of everything and I think she hand-picked one of the best wedding day teams I’ve worked with. (Thanks Chelsey + friends!)
No one could have asked for a more perfect day.
In May, the adventurous couple is hitting the road for their cross-country road trip honeymoon. In the meantime, I’m dreaming of Jo’s trash the dress shoot or an epic adventure session with the newlyweds! 😉 😉
Have fun, y’all and enjoy this lil’ sneak peek!
